Ciao a tutti!
Sono ancora qui per aggiornarvi riguardo la nostra ultima settimana passata con il team di Delfini Del Ponente.
Dopo l’incredibile primo avvistamento, quelli successivi non hanno avuto lo stesso esito; questo può accadere quando si lavora con gli animali selvatici.
Dopo tre giorni di continue uscite col gommone ed una giornata di avvistamento sulla Corsara, abbiamo avuto una giornata di riposo.
Davide ci ha portato (me, Federica, Enrico e Lorenzo) ad un fiume vicino a Rocchetta Nervina, per fare una bella nuotata nell’acqua cristallina di questo fantastico paradiso naturale. Ottima attività per una calda giornata di settembre!
Dopo aver fatto una nuotata, preso un po’ di sole, fatto un po’ di trekking e rifocillati lungo la riva del fiume; ci siamo fatti guidare da Enrico alla scoperta di due paesi.
Il primo paese che abbiamo visitato è stato Rocchetta Nervina, tipico paesino caratteristico della campagna ligure.
Dopo esserci rilassati con un caffè (ed un cappuccino per me, come un “non-italiano”) abbiamo visitato questo tipico paese ligure. Costruito in epoca romana, il numero degli acquedotti romani è molto visibile in questo luogo. La città è caratterizzata da strade molto strette con scale e case costruite essenzialmente di pietra, con il fiume che scorre attraverso la città.
Il secondo paesino che abbiamo visitato è stata Dolceacqua (il preferito da Enrico e Davide), con il suo bellissimo castello e ponte, anch’essi costruiti in epoca romana.
La vista del ponte con il castello sullo sfondo è stato per molti pittori e artisti del passato, tra cui Claude Monet, un ottimo soggetto per rappresentare i propri dipinti. Oltre a questi due tipici punti di riferimento, c’è una chiesa molto colorata e naturalmente le tipiche stradine strette e le vecchie case di pietra della campagna ligure.
Entrambi i paesi sono molto belli, li consiglio vivamente a tutte le persone che visitano la zona!
Dopo aver visitato Dolceacqua, ci siamo diretti verso Imperia, facendo una sosta presso la casa di Enrico che, purtroppo, è dovuto tornare a casa.
Dopo un cocktail a Imperia, siamo tornati a casa dopo una divertente ed interessante giornata!
Speriamo di avere qualche interessante avvistamento nei prossimi giorni. Se così sarà, sono sicura che Federica vi aggiornerà la prossima settimana!

Hi Everybody
Here I am again, updating you on our past week with Delfini del Ponente. After the amazing first sighting we had, our next two surveys weren’t as successful, but that’s what happens when you work with wild animals, you work on their terms and that’s fine.
After three back-to-back survey days and a day on the Corsara we had a day-off. Davide took us (Federica, Enrico, Lorenzo and myself) to a river near Rocchetta nervina to have a swim in the beautiful, clear water, which was a nice activity for a warm September day. After chilling, swimming, sunning and a bit of hiking, we had lunch along the river and then left the river behind to visit two towns guided by Enrico.
The first town we visited was Rocchetta nervina a typical town of the Ligurian countryside. After drinking a coffee (and a cappuccino for me as a non-Italian) we visited the town. Build during the roman times, the number of aqueducts are visible remnants of this period. The town was characterised by its narrow streets with a lot of stairs and typical stone houses, with the river running through the town.
The second town was Dolceaqua (the town preferred by Enrico and Davide) with its beautiful roman bridge and castle. The view of the bridge with the castle on the background was a popular subject for painters in the past with famous artists like Claude Monet. Aside from these two typical landmarks there was a very colourful church and of course the typical narrow streets and old stone houses from the Ligurian countryside. Both the towns were very beautiful, I’m definitely recommending them to people visiting the area.
After visiting Dolceaqua, we drove toward Imperia, making a stop at the home-base of Enrico who sadly had to go back home. After a cocktail in Imperia, we went back home after a fun, interesting day! Hopefully, we will have some interesting sightings in the next few days. If we do, I’m sure Federica will update you next week!
