Beatrice: animals and sea lover!

Ciao!

My name is Beatrice and I am a super passionate second-year student of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Padua. During my childhood, while the passion for animals was growing, the passion for the sea was blooming. Thanks to my grandparents I got to know the world of sailing boats, which allowed me to become an amateur “mini dolphin watcher”.

During high school, I tried to make the most of the didactic breaks to train myself and go to undertake work experiences with practically any animal… from dogs to penguins. Together with the practice that takes place in the internships, I have always combined readings and documentaries on many species, which convinced me even more of the choice of my university path.

My two great passions, the sea and animals, have one point in common: cetaceans. Unfortunately, they are very difficult species to study and I hope that this experience started with the “Delfini del Ponente” will help me understand them better and, perhaps, make them my future specialization.
