Hello everyone

I’m Laura and I’m looking for my future in marine biology!

I come from Reggio Emilia, a small city near Bologna, in Emilia-Romagna. Despite I live far from the sea, since I was a child I have always been interested in marine biology, especially in marine wildlife. That was one of the main reasons why I chose biology as my major in University.

I studied biological sciences in the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. After my bachelor degree, due to the pandemic, I chose to keep studying in the same subject, and I began my master degree in experimental and applied biology, with the main focus on the conservation and protection of the environment.

But, when I had to choose my internship for the thesis, I decided to do something different. I wanted to do a job that would allow me to work in the field, closely with the environment. I discovered Delfini del Ponente by chance, but, for me, it was immediately obvious that I had found a place where I can do a new experience. So I’ve signed up and I’ve moved here, in order to widen my knowledge. I only studied marine biology for a semester at university, but I’m ready to learn more about this beautiful subject.

I will take this internship as an opportunity to look for my future: understand what to do after my master, and, also, as a possibility to get how it is to be a part of a research group.

Bye!

Laura
